Hi, I am Mariëlle, a Dutch illustrator and surface pattern designer based in Amsterdam.

I find inspiration in nature, everyday life and the small details that are easy to overlook — a bird in a city tree, wildflowers growing between paving stones, the colours of a cloudy sky.

These observations find their way into my patterns and illustrations, resulting in work that feels playful, gentle and joyful.

My work combines organic shapes, thoughtful details and a love of colour. I enjoy creating designs that feel both natural and imaginative, adding a little beauty to the things we surround ourselves with.

From textiles and wallpaper to stationery and lifestyle products, I love exploring how patterns and illustrations can bring character to everyday life.

I work with brands looking for original, thoughtful designs, whether through licensing an existing pattern or creating something new together.
